The Andrew Marvell Society invites proposals for papers to be presented at the 2020 South-Central Renaissance Conference (SCRC) on any aspect of Marvell studies from established scholars in the field as well as graduate students and newcomers. Proposals are welcomed on all topics.
This year’s conference will be hosted by Southern Methodist University in Dallas, 26-28 March.
Abstracts only (350 words; a shorter 100-word abstract for inclusion in the program) should be submitted online no later than 16 December 2019 via the Conference’s submission portal.
This year’s Louis Martz Lecturer, at the invitation of the Marvell Society, will be Professor Ayesha Ramachandran of Yale University. Her lecture is provisionally titled ‘Rethinking Lyric Histories’. Professor Ramachandran is author of the award-winning study The Worldmakers: Global Imagining in Early Modern Europe, which was published by Chicago in 2015.
